The Blue Pearl is the result of a collaborative process that started in 2021 and finished in 2025. It first came as an improvised oral storytelling – inspired by the sea. It then developed into a collaboration between us – the storyteller and the illustrator – crystallising into its final form as a written story with ink- and watercolour illustrations.
