Speaking Music

Speaking music is a theoretical and practical investigation of rhetoric principles in early Italian baroque music carried out during a residency in the Danish Institute in Rome (Acdan) in November and December 2016. As a conclusion of the project, I played a concert together with harpsichordist Gunnhild Tønder in the instrument museum in Rome, Museo Nazionale degli Strumenti Musicali.

An article about the project was published in the danish early music magazine Custos in march 2018. A research paper is available in english here.

The project was supported by Acdan and Dronning Ingrids Fond.
